Telford’s bridge and a Georgian riverside town
Bewdley’s three-arch bridge over the Severn was designed by Thomas Telford and built in the late 1790s, and it’s Grade I listed. Historic England notes that the town’s Georgian layout and character have survived largely intact. That means many older and listed properties, where wiring needs care and visible changes can need checking with the council first.
