The salt town
Droitwich has been a salt town since Roman times, when it was known as Salinae. Its natural brine rises from beds of rock salt far below ground and is around ten times saltier than seawater, which is what made it a spa town; John Corbett built the original brine baths in 1887. Today the town mixes older streets in the centre with large areas of newer housing.
Common Droitwich jobs include replacing older fuse boards, fixing circuits that keep tripping, EICRs for landlords and sellers, and EV chargers on new-build driveways. I also do electrical supplies for heat pumps and commercial work for local businesses.
